And if writing books with monster peens is your vibe, then you've got five steamy monster romance writing prompts below to inspire your next romance writing project.

These prompts, unlike my usual prompts, don't just include tropes, main character types, and a prompt to follow. They also include kinks, because monster romance is rife with them!

As with all my prompts, use them as is or change them around. Follow them for 100 words or a 1,000, or, if a particular prompt really takes your fancy, turn it into a whole book!

1. Tropes: Reverse harem, instalove, forced proximity Setting: Hunting lodge Kink: Double cream (two MCs taking turns ejaculating into another MC)

   MC1: Centaur MC2: Minotaur MC3: Orc MC4: Golem MC5: Human Prompt: Write a sex scene between the MCs that ends with MCs 1 and 2 double cream MC5, while MCs 3 and 4 declare their love and devotion to MC5.
   

2. Tropes: Fated mates, kidnapped, forbidden love Setting: Haunted castle Kinks: Praise kink MC1: Gargoyle MC2: Human Prompt: Write a slow-burn sex scene between the MCs that includes a lot of build-up, giving MC2 plenty of opportunities to please MC1 and receive praise.
   

3. Tropes: Arranged marriage, enemies to lovers Setting: Polish folklore-inspired fantasy world Kinks: Daddy kink, hate sex MC1: Serpent demon MC2: Dragon shifter Prompt: Write the MCs' wedding night sex scene. MC2 decides to draw on MC1's hatred of him, and orders him around, forcing him to call him "Daddy." He's surprised by just how turned on he gets.
   

4. Tropes: Revenge, touch her and die, opposites attract Setting: Ghanaian-inspired fantasy world Kinks: Wax play MC1: Firefly vampire (Adze) MC2: Spider monster Prompt: Write a sex scene where MCs, who've been fighting growing sexual tension for a few chapters, recover from a near-attack on MC2 by finally acting on their feelings. And when MC1 reveals they're into wax play, MC2 is totally on board to try it.
   

5. Tropes: Grumpy/sunshine, cinnamon roll hero Setting: Cozy European-inspired fantasy small town Kinks: D/s (Dominant/submissive) MC1: Ghoul MC2: Kraken Prompt: Write a scene where the MCs take part in their first BDSM scene—from talking safe words to aftercare.

   
   

Writing these spooky season romance writing prompts has been such a blast. It's not only given me an excuse to do more research into genres like paranormal and fantasy romance that I love editing, but it's also sparked my creativity, too!
